All of the major competitions of the school year are finished!
From this point on, meetings are optional. If there is anyone who would like to have extra math practice for future math competition, need help on school material, or are interested in learning about a specific branch of mathematics, suggestions are welcome and appreciated in the comments.
If we have no takers, meetings will discontinue for this year, and pick up next year.
Happy Pi Day! For all of you who did not notice, today is Pi Day (3-14); and today is extra special, since the year is also 14, making this month Pi Month as well!
In celebration of Pi Day, we will have pi during our next meeting on Sunday (I will bring it).
Also, we will work on Blaine problems in preparation for the competition.
We have a meeting this Sunday at 2:00 at fire station 83. We’ll be going over Blaine problems, since it is coming up in a few weeks. Hope to see everyone there!
The math meeting is cancelled today because of snow.
We have a meeting this Sunday at 2:00 at the fire station. We’ll be working on Mathcounts. However, it might snow on Sunday, and if it does we’ll have to cancel.
We will not have a meeting this Sunday, nor the next, because next week is Superbowl Week! #Seahawks
Welcome back, mathletes. I hope our first week transitioning back to school was bearable.
We have a training session at Fire Station 83 at 2:00, and we will be working on a practice test.
Upcoming competitions to prep for: Math Counts and Blaine. Nearest competition is Math Counts, so that is what we will be preparing for.
